One of the biggest inspirations for my music is the Byzantine Chant tradition. It is one of the oldest forms of music still in use today, and is unique in that it does not feature a staff like Western music (even though Byzantine was the foundation of most music as we know it today). A good history of it can be found here: https://www.britannica.com/art/Byzantine-chant. This new page includes my Byzantine Chant transpositions and compositions, as well as some recordings (I beg of you...please excuse my singing voice 😬). This is a work in progress, and I hope to make it more comprehensive in the future, as well as add some instructions for how to read this kind of music (as it differs tremendously from regular Western music). Many more pieces to be added soon!
